Amazon Photos Product Management team is looking for a PM Technical to lead our Computer Vision AI (CV-AI) product portfolio. CV-AI is used to understand people, things, and scenes in customers photos and videos, in a legally and privacy compliant way. This deep understanding of customer's photos and videos is used to power search, organization, curated memories that show up to millions of customers on Amazon Photos apps, Echo Show, Fire TV, and Tablets.

Key job responsibilities

- Deeply understand all customer jobs related to photos, videos and memories (such as back up, search, browse, organize, re-live, share) across Amazon Photos Apps, Echo Show, and Fire TV. Come up with innovative ways to improve these experiences using CV-AI.

- Partner with Applied Science, Engineering, peer CX Product Managers, and Leadership, to craft the overall product vision for Amazon Photos. Work back from this overall product vision to build a CV-AI investments roadmap, prioritized based on ROI and cost.

- Drive offline and online (A/B) strategy to measure efficacy of AI models and impact on customer and business metrics.

- Stay on top of emerging trends in CV-AI, and write PRFAQs to help the team analyze new investment ideas.

- Write SQL-like scripts to do quantitative analysis.

- Partner with Legal, PR and Privacy partners, to ensure we use CV-AI in a compliant and responsible way, that minimizes risks for customer harms and upholds customer data privacy.

A day in the life

- Define AI models needed to serve customer jobs related to Photos, Videos, and Memories.

- Plan how we can gather training and validation datasets for proposed AI models.

- Drive cost and ROI analysis partnering with Applied Science and Engineering.

- Design offline validation mechanisms partnering with Applied Science and Engineering.

- Design A/B experiments to measure success. Write PR-FAQs for big new AI investments.

- Write one/two-pagers to help the team make important decisions (e.g. arguments for and against a one-way-door decision).

- Cross team collaboration with CX-PMs, Applied Science, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and PR.

Amazon Photos helps customers preserve and re-live their memories. The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and apps are available on iOS, Android, Web, Desktop, Fire Tablet & Fire TV. The service is also integrated into Alexa devices such as Echo Show. Amazon Photos is the one of the mail digital offering to Prime subscribers along with Amazon Music and Amazon Video offerings. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of the service around the world and delight our customers with a great product.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience with feature priotization and product roadmap tradeoffs

- Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process

- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
