Job Description

Performs the necessary assembly/validation operations - including rework, repairs, on any product within the production environment to manufacture a product. Works from standardized methods and process instructions, product prints, written, and verbal instructions to defined workmanship standards.Uses all tools, machines, and equipment (hand and power driven) plus gauges and fixtures necessary to perform the work task.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assembles/produces parts and subassemblies using various equipment, devices, tools, gauges, etc.
  • Required to comprehend requisite work instructions and accurately complete all paper work.
  • Checks produced parts per operation inspection standards; responsible for quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of designated areas.
  • May be tasked to pick up parts from stock room and/or move completed assemblies to next point in the process.
  • May be required to pack finished product prior to shipping.
  • Must comply with and ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies, and Code of Conduct.
  • Must comply with all applicable U.S. export and security regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Note: The noise and temperature levels in the work environment are usually moderate but may be subject to increased levels of cold and heat during extreme weather events.

  • Prefer one (1) year related assembly experience.
  • Must possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Must have capacity to read blueprints, work instructions, analysis sheets, specifications, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of basic mathematics and perform routine computations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess ability to work independently and as a member of team.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to work independently, as a member of team, and be a significant contributor in continuous improvement activities.
  • Must possess high integrity with regard to EH&S norms and comply with all related federal, state, and company policies.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Repetitive loading and unloading materials in/on equipment.
  • Standing - for extended periods of time up to and including the length of shift.
  • Sitting - Upper body held upright in seated position for sustained periods of time.
  • Kneeling - Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching / Stooping - To floor level by bending knees to avoid stress and strain on back.
  • Climbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs.
  • Working at heights - up to 25 ft.
  • Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
  • Balancing - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow surfaces.
  • Pulling - Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Pushing - Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
  • Carrying objects - Grip and transport objects with the palms, fingers and arms.
  • Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
