Location: Houston, TX (near Spring/Humble and IAH airport)
Shift: Monday - Friday | 1st Shift
Compensation: $105K - $115K/annually (depending on experience)

Position Description| Production Process Engineer
The Production Process Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that the company's products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. This individual is tasked with understanding all of the processes for fiberglass pipe and will be responsible for implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet production goal and standards.

The company is positioned for aggressive growth over the next several years, which will include both organic and acquisitive expansion. Due to this growth, the need has arisen for the addition of this newly created position.

Responsibilities include:
• Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that new products are designed for manufacturability. Provide input on design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to drive ongoing enhancements to manufacturing processes.
• Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve manufacturing problems, and minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
• Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to improve the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components. Participate in supplier audits and evaluations as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant safety regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the production environment.
• Training: Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and techniques. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that manufacturing teams are equipped to meet production targets and quality goals.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and process optimization.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering) or a related field. You should also possess previous experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, preferably in a relevant industry (e.g., mechanical industry or manufacturing industry) and attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications Include:
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, welding, and/or chemical processes.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, statistical process control).
• Familiarity with CAD software and/or product lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
