The School of Education, Counseling & Human Development (SECHD) provides high quality educational experiences to learners across the education and human science fields and seeks to generate knowledge of human behavior, learning science and interpersonal relationships. We are currently seeking a people-centered, well-organized Program Assistant I who will utilize their high-level communication skills in this important support role.
Job Responsibilities: Serve as an administrative assistant to the School Director in overall management of the SECHD graduate programs by developing and establishing work processes for (i) Counseling and Human Resource Development (includes Rapid City campus), (ii) Human Development and Family Studies Curriculum and Instruction, Agriculture Education, and Educational Leadership. Assist with management of assessment reports related to accreditation (CACREP) and institutional program review for Counseling and Human Resource Development. Establish processes to monitor and manage curriculum changes for programs to include course schedules, program guide sheets, course catalogues and information on the webpages for programs. Manage and coordinate of social media for the school. Develop and implement policies to support the graduate programs admissions and student progress. Assist Program Coordinators and School Director with workloads and coordination (hiring) of temporary instructors.
