Minimum Qualifications: Six years of experience in Product Management or related IT Field.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Manager of Information Technology Services 1, Director of Design Systems within the Office of Digital Transformation, this Project Coordinator position will serve as a Design System Platform Coordinator supporting the NYS Design System within the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS).
This role is critical in bridging the gap between the design system and product teams that consume the design system, ensuring widespread adoption of the design system and supporting the creation of usable and accessible digital services and applications for all New Yorkers. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Champion the NYS design system across functional teams, management, and executive stakeholders.
• Oversee enterprise Human Centered Design (HCD) collaboration and marketing for the NYS design system.
• Establish and maintain cross-functional collaboration, fostering stakeholder engagement and consensus.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff as they promote the NYS design system and collaborate with consumers of the system.
• Ensure that all documentation related to the design system is accessible, clear, and actionable, adhering to best practices in plain language communication.
• Manage communication strategies for the design system, ensuring information is effectively disseminated.
• Develop presentations, use project management tools effectively, and provide accurate project forecasts.
• Support the training and upskilling of ITS project teams, particularly focusing on engineers and front-end developers, to enhance their capabilities in using the design system.
