Eight years of experience with MS SQL, including seven years of experience as a technical leader on NYS ITS projects, four of which must have been spent on DMV MS SQL systems, four years of experience using Erwin data modeler, three years SSIS experience, three years of experience writing ETL, automating migrations, facilitating migration schedules, and developing infrastructure, and three years of experience migrating from MS SQL 2k3 to newer supported MS SQL versions.

The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
• Associate's degree and seven years of experience
• Associate's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and six years of experience
• Bachelor's degree and six years of experience
• Bachelor's degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and five years of experience
• Master's degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience

Duties Description Under the direction of an Assistant Director Information Technology Services 1, M-4, within Chief Technology Office, Shared Platform Services, Data Management Services, the Project Coordinator, NS, will oversee the complex process of migrating legacy Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) servers and software to supported platforms, while ensuring minimal disruption to DMV services.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Strategic Oversight and Direction, provide strategic oversight and direction for upgrading legacy SQL batch processing efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and new Enterprise Standards.
• Supervise Authentication Enhancements, oversee the modification of all existing SSIS packages to utilize domain authentication, ensuring a secure and compliant data environment.
• Manage SSIS Upgrades and Cloud Migration, direct the upgrade of SSIS instances to SQL Server 2022 or a suitable Cloud solution, ensuring modernization and efficiency in data processing.
• Oversee Code Consolidation for ETL Processes, supervise the consolidation of all DMV ETL source code into a unified DevOps solution, promoting best practices in software development and data management.
• Direct Staging Packages Consolidation, lead efforts to consolidate staging packages to a single DEV/TST instance, optimizing resource utilization and reducing licensing costs.
• Infrastructure Consolidation Strategy, develop and implement a strategy for consolidating underutilized DMV instances into a new SQL Server 2022 infrastructure, aiming to reduce licensing costs and improve efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication, engage with key stakeholders to communicate project progress, gather requirements, and ensure the data integration and architecture efforts meet organizational needs.
• Resource Management, manage resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing, and technology allocation, to support the data integration and architecture initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance, manage the performance of data integration and architecture projects, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Data Architecture Leadership, provide leadership in data architecture, designing and implementing frameworks that support the integration, processing, and management of DMV's data assets across various platforms and systems.
• Perform the full range of supervisor responsibilities.
