Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Assist the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager & Superintendents with entry-level engineering tasks, material take-offs, work plans, submittals, and estimates.
  • Prepare baseline scheduling. schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.
  • Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities, and report to the project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing alternate methods for corrective action.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis periodically.
  • Assure the credibility of the information contained in the schedule.
  • Review schedules with project team members regularly to ensure that accurate timely data is incorporated in the schedule.
  • Verify schedule integrity, evaluate logic, and float paths.
  • Evaluate activity sequences for constructability.
  • Analyze change orders for schedule impacts.
  • Resource load schedules as required by the project team.
  • Perform job-site walks to verify the physical progress of scheduled activities.
  • Position will require traveling to job sites.
  • Project submittals.
  • RFI's drafting subcontracts, purchase orders, and negotiating contract pricing to come in under budget.
  • Schedules on Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Budgeting and cost projections.
  • Large amounts of word processing, letters/correspondence to owners and engineers.
  • Attending progress meetings.
  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and electronically in an educated and professional manner with owners and engineers.
  • Ability to work in an office but also spend time in the field, understand what is being built.
  • Ability to manage and schedule deliveries from suppliers.
  • Daily installation quantity record keeping.
  • Daily start and stop station recording for record drawings.
  • Equipment hour tracking.
  • Meeting with subcontractors and suppliers on-site.
  • Attending any necessary field meetings and progress photos.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Construction/related degree with 3 to 5 years of construction scheduling experience in pipeline/concrete.
  • Excellent computer skills and analytical ability.
  • Experience working with Primavera P6.
  • Understanding of the industrial construction process.
  • Must have the ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings.
  • Knowledge of contract procedures and principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects.
