SUMMARY
The Quality Engineering position is responsible for manufacturing line quality support. Areas of focus include quality improvement, customer satisfaction, project support, and ensuring product conformance to specification and performance standards. Collaborate with team members in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to persuasively sell continuous improvement ideas.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.

SUMMARY
The Quality Engineering position is responsible for manufacturing line quality support. Collaborate with team members in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to persuasively sell continuous improvement ideas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Possess ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
- Owning the quality metrics of the responsible area
- Experience with PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, DMAIC
- Expertise in both using and coaching others in approaches
- Strong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principles
- Document control, product and process qualification, and audit processes
- Error Proofing, Eyes for Waste, Visual Management
- Ability to gather and analyze data through statistical techniques.
- Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans and work instructions.
- Developing process validation plans and documenting results
- Approving engineering change requests or PLM's
- Lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
- Usage of computer software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities.
- Provides quality assurance support to ensure that the products produced are met with quality requirements defined by the company to both internal and external customers •
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- BS degree in Engineering or Technology
- 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environment required
- Knowledge of PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles
- Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- ASQ Certifications - ASQ CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt), ASQ CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt), ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)
- Functional AutoCAD skills and geometric tolerancing
