Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously upgrade skills and knowledge to improve personal effectiveness and provide training and guidance to less experienced/skilled personnel.
  • Maintain a safe and unobstructed work area, follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety equipment and practices.
  • Supervision of the Quality Assurance Technicians as directed by the appropriate Quality Manager.
  • Active participation in new product launches representing Quality as part of the APQP process, as required.
  • Constructing complete and accurate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages ready for presentation to the customer.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Team in processing and resolving customer concerns, as required.
  • Utilize the Inventory Management System to perform required transactions and to generate reports and metrics, as requested
  • Effectively communicating with customers, suppliers, and employees of Supply Technologies, as required
  • Provide the organization with technical support and acting as a mentor to the Quality Technicians
  • Provide visible, active support for the ISO9001, and ISO 14001 Quality System, as applicable.
  • Perform Gage R&R studies, as required
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Promote and participate in a positive team environment
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Perform other duties, as required by the appropriate Quality Manager.

  • Balance includes but not limited to: Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse, Materials and project leaders


Must Haves:
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred, or an offsetting experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • ISO 9001 experience required
  • ISO 14001 and TS-16949 exposure desired
  • PPAP experience required
  • Fastener experience preferred
  • APQP experience preferred
  • Statistical analysis preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required


WE Value:
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) software experience preferred
  • Gage Calibration and Gage R&R software experience preferred
  • Experience in use of basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) required
  • Experience with Optical Comparator, Hardness Tester, Thread and Plug Gages preferred
  • Strong, positive communication skills required
  • Ability to work under remote or offsite supervision
  • Exposure to Six Sigma desirable
