We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our MIS team in Janesville, WI. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by actively participating in the testing and quality assurance processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address defects, contribute to test planning and execution, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Execute test cases, report defects, and verify their resolution.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
• Utilize testing tools to streamline the testing process and enhance overall product quality.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, providing input on testing efforts and status updates.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to test plans, test cases and testing processes.
• Contribute to the development of testing standards and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with performance testing and security testing concepts

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, and 2+ Years of related experience required
• Proven experience in software quality assurance or testing
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
