Description

The Recruiting Coordinator will provide a customer service based approach to the administration and coordination of employee recruitment for Burns & McDonnell by offering general support to the recruitment team in a high volume recruiting environment. This is an onsite opportunity located in Kansas City, Missouri at our World Headquarters.
  • Schedule and facilitate candidate interviews, which includes: ensuring timely communication with candidates, managing multiple schedules, requesting travel arrangements, facilitating interview day activities, and collecting and maintaining interview notes.
  • Monitor the job requisition submittals and approval process within the applicant tracking system to ensure progression throughout the integrated workflow.
  • Post job openings and coordinate recruitment advertising in various media outlets (i.e. Internet sites, technical journals, etc.).
  • Conduct reference checks and initiate pre-employment drug testing and background screening requisitions.
  • Prepare and issue employment offer letters and related documents.
  • Coordinate delivery of gift packages for candidates during the interview process.
  • Assist with orientation and onboarding of new hires by collecting and completing required new hire forms.
  • Coordinate employee referral bonus program including tracking referrals and coordinating bonus payouts.
  • Support various recruitment events, including: career fairs, information sessions, intern programs and events, etc.
  • Support various corporate events and activities as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; an emphasis in human resources management or marketing is preferred
  • Previous human resources internship experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and external vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions of work stream within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be professional, self-starter and willing to be flexible.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
