Position Summary

This position is needed to support the Entomology department as a part of Dr. Joseph's research program with Turf and Ornamentals in Georgia. This incumbent will assist supervising faculty with research projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Work with or without supervision.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Physical Demands
  • Bend and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Work in a laboratory for multiple hours a day.
  • Intermittent out of town travel to research plots during the workday.
  • Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Duties/Responsibilities

Field work processing of samples, which includes, but is not limited to, helping to plant, maintain, harvest, and process field studies. Data collection and entry.

Laboratory work, including but not limited to, processing, sorting, and inspecting plant samples for diseases and insect damages. Data collection and entry.
