Job Summary:

Lockton is seeking an experienced, dynamic, client-focused Senior Account Executive for its Healthcare Practice. As a Senior Account Executive, you will lead marketing, services, and strategic consulting efforts with prospective and current clients, predominantly in the healthcare space. Collaboration and a willingness to support your colleagues is imperative, as is a true love for building and nurturing internal and external relationships.

  • Responsible for the strategy, servicing and marketing needs of Lockton clients for Medical Professional Liability coverages under the general guidance of the Unit Manager and in accordance with Lockton procedures. Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients including the production of Requests for Proposal, coordination of vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendations. Experience with additional lines of coverage is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to instill confidence with clients so the Client looks to you and to Lockton as more than just an insurance broker, but a partner in business.
  • Consults with Clients to review vendor services, fees, strategies and goals
  • Assists in the establishment and attainment of revenue goals for existing and new business
  • Provides input in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as operating and strategic plans within area of specialty
  • Develops and maintains dependable working relationships with carriers, broker servicing networks, and other providers
  • Oversees issue-resolution between Client and the Market
  • Coordinates market selection for new and renewal business on designated accounts
  • Initiates and duplicates new business report activities
  • Generates new business opportunities through cross-selling
  • Negotiates program terms and costs
  • Oversee coordination of the day-to-day administrative activities among those servicing the Client’s account including the coordination of all support services such as claims and loss control
  • Provides information, concepts, techniques, and programs to department Associates to improve and enhance working knowledge
  • Conduct coverage reviews for clients and prospects
  • Decide in conjunction with producers and clients on the marketing strategy, timing and plan for renewal
  • Attend any internal/external pre-renewal meetings, as needed/requested
  • Submit submission information to market(s)
  • Receive and review quotes
  • Ability to liaise with the claims team on critical matters
  • Mentors and trains junior-level staff
  • Researches and understands industry trends
  • Set up proposal meetings with client/coordinate with LFS when applicable
  • Work with service team to compose and present proposal
  • Offer premium financing, as desired by the client
  • Receive written confirmation from client giving us authority to bind coverage
  • Update marketing summary/post-binding checklist and hand off to account support team
  • Review certificate requests, as needed
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or 10-15 years of experience equivalent
  • Typically more than 15 years of Client services experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within brokerage industry
  • Understands industry trends
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions, which may include travel
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information
  • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier
  • Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Legally able to work in the United States
