Positions in this function create and deliver high quality system solutions for our applications, products and services across all technology functions. They consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes. Individuals in these roles may perform analysis and also serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements. They provide technical support in developing systems that are cost effective and meet users' requirements. This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise. Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate business rules and business requirements into system level requirements as part of user story refinement, documenting and communicating system changes
  • Generates requirement documents that communicate process workflows and functional needs to both business stakeholders and technical staff.
  • Maintains expertise and understanding of existing system functionality to be successful in gathering new requirements, designing new features, and resolving defects
  • Maintain B2B documents for changes and communicate the changes to all stakeholders - business, IT and partner systems
  • Help with documentation changes and updates for FOX Claims
  • Supports analysis and root cause investigation of production incidents and defects
  • Participate in PI planning, Architecture/PO sessions and other Agile Ceremonies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR 6+ years of experience working with large scale applications
  • 5+ years of experience working with large scale applications
  • 5+ years of experience with requirements analysis and documentation
  • 5+ years of experience in Application development or similar
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile (Scrum preferred)
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Communication and Problem Solving
  • Advanced level of proficiency with SQL to access RDBMS
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with SOA and Web services
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with diagraming: Data flow diagrams, system interaction diagrams, UML sequence diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical experience in Java/J2EE, web development etc.
  • Prior experience with SAFe, Agile and Scrum concepts.
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools such as Jenkins or Github Actions
  • Insurance or Healthcare Industry Experience
  • Use Case documentation
  • REST client for REST web services
  • Messaging client for messaging services
  • Comfort with data formats: XML, JSON, CSV, Fixed or variable with text layouts
  • Comfort with Swagger WSDL or WADL
  • Use case diagrams, primary flows, alternate flows, exception conditions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
