This Senior Project Manager will be working for a wholesale bank that supports mortgage lending and community investment. This PM will be expected to go into the downtown office Tuesdays, Thursdays, and they can pick the 3rd day on site. The need is for a STRONG project manager who has a consulting background and is a great communicator. This Senior PM does not have to have worked on technical projects, as they are not being brought in to manage technology related projects. Project examples: Standing up new financial advancement products, talk to the business, communicate with operational teams, and sales teams.
Responsibilities include:
* Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Develop project plans, timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
* Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
* Identify, obtain and adjust resources needed to achieve project goals.
* Negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel
* Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
* Delegate tasks and assignments to appropriate team members.
* Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
* Track progress on project milestones, deliverables, timeline and budget
* Manage cross-functional teams effectivelly
* Collaborate with different areas of IT and the business to provide appropriate solutions for the Bank
* Provide escalation path for problems, issues, or risks that project teams cannot resolve or manage on their own, such as a shortage of funding, resources, or deadlines that cannot be met
* Follows Bank's delivery and governance framework during the entire delivery lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

- Change management/communications
- Experience working with operational teams (finance, sales, change management, etc)
- Consulting background (big 4 not necessary, but someone who worked as a Project Manager from a consulting firm)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- 4 year or higher in Business or a technical discipline required
- Must have experience using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Professional (ACP), SAFe knowledge and certification desired
- ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday, Aha, JIRA experience desired
