This role primarily involves maintaining the general ledger for multiple entities, managing financial and tax reporting, and forecasting cash flows. Senior Property Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial property accounting
• Proficiency in Yardi (2+ years of experience)
• Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Expertise in CAM reconciliations is highly desirable

Senior Property Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and tax reporting processes for commercial properties
• Forecast cash flows and assist in the budgeting process, collaborating with property managers and the accounting team
• Perform month-end closings, including debits and credits, journal entries, and prepare detailed financial reports for investors
• Collaborate with property managers to oversee budgets and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
• Record real estate transactions, including settlement statements/purchase transactions
• Review third-party property manager books for accuracy
• Oversee CAM reconciliations and provide support to property managers
