Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Software Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Saint Charles, MO.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Opportunity to work directly with the operator interface to launch Harpoon missiles
o Develop leadership skills and experiences
o Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle
o Develop software on both Windows and Linux platforms in both unclassified and classified environments
o Create real-time operator-in-the-loop embedded systems, weapons systems, and weapon interfaces
o Apply knowledge and experiences with algorithms, human/machine interfaces, and launch protocols
o Use an agile process following a set of standard engineering processes
o Develops, documents, and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
o Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
o Develops software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
o Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.
o Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys software processes, tools, and metrics.
o Executes and documents software research and development projects
o Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
o Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
o Collaborate with several engineering teams to identify software products needed
o Develop software verification plans and ensure software and system level testing is performed to verify correct software functionality
o Perform software baseline audits to ensure products contain only the approved content
o Coordinate with program Configuration Management to ensure appropriate release and distribution of software products
o Maintain the Direct Attack Software team's processes and command media
o Contribute in an Agile development environment using Jira, BitBucket/git, and Confluence
o Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team to create and implement Operational Flight Program software solutions
o Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle in an Agile development environment
o Test your software and assist system level testing to verify correct software functionality
o Analyze problem reports and troubleshooting software defects
o Develop leadership skills and experience
o Opportunity to work directly with United States Air Force and Navy customers

HARD REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum of 1 year of experience developing software
o Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing Linux and/or Windows operating systems
o Experience in embedded real-time software development

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Experience with weapon and/or aircraft interfaces
o Professional experience with Visual Studio, JIRA, Green Hills AdaMULTI, VxWorks, and/or Ada
o Previous role that used a software development process
o Experience with ClearCase and ClearQuest
o Experience with Jenkins
o Experience programming in Ada
o Experience with Python, or C#
o Experience with C or C++
o Experience with Git or a similar version control system
o Experience working in an Agile software development environment
o Experience working in a team environment in a professional environment

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree (e.g. Bachelor and typically 5 or more years' related work experience, PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
