Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Sr. Health Care Analyst for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!

Title: Sr. Health Care Analyst

Location: Detroit, MI (Remote)

Duration: 12+ Months

Role Type: W2 contract engagement

SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, implementation, and leading department assignments. Position operates within broad objectives to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and budget. Research, compile and analyze appropriate and relevant data and make recommendations for operational improvements. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required. Master's Degree in related field preferred. Six (6) or more years experience in related experience, typically in two (2) subject areas (e.g. financial analysis, planning, health care economics, health care policy, statistical modeling, business decisions, analysis, or business management).

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
  • Research, analyze, identify, and evaluate data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Possess and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Company business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), and basic research principles/methodologies.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.
  • Communicate results of analysis to management via reports/presentations and assist management in implementing programs that provide solutions.
  • Recommend, communicate, and implement solutions to identified problems/root cause of issues.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to unit and corporate staff as required.
  • Represent and participate in group or committee discussions.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience -
  • Strong knowledge and use of existing software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Working knowledge of data languages such as R and SQL (6 years of experience).
  • Working knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau (6 years of experience

Required Skills/Experience -
  • Strong communication skills are required to understand, interpret, and communicate ideas.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels.
  • Understand and apply statistical inference.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Preferred Skills/Experience -
  • Data Analytics certification
  • Tableau Visualization tool Certificate
  • 6+ years of experience in Analytics field
  • Healthcare data experience such as claims and membership.

Education/Certifications -
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required.
  • Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.
