We're seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

As a senior member of our team, you will work on municipal water system projects for both water and wastewater treatment plants. You'll continue to grow your career by leading process mechanical design teams, water quality studies, master plans, and condition assessments. You'll develop proposals, lead discussions with our Clients and mentor junior staff. We look forward to supporting your active involvement with AWWA and WEF.

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain reciprocity, in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana
  • At least 20 years of experience in municipal drinking water
  • Demonstrated understanding of process mechanical designs, drinking and wastewater unit processes and technologies, master planning and condition assessments
  • Willingness to learn Jacobs' proprietary tools
  • Strong hydraulic analyses background
  • Experience providing and receiving Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews
  • Experience providing facility start-up assistance
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers
  • Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities


Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Master's Degree in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
• Proof of United States citizenship
• More than 20 years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with clients and to win work
  • Experience with REVIT, Open Plant and 3D/BIM modeling.
  • Experience with Digital Twins
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
