The responsibilities of this position must be completed at least 3 days per week from our Bismarck office and the remaining work week may be completed at an employee's home location or the entire 40 hour work week may be completed in our Bismarck office.

The North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services (ND HHS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of our Finance Team.

As a Staff Accountant , you will work with financial documents and transactions, review and write contracts, work on grant applications and budgets, have familiarity with procuring goods and services and provide interpretation, training, technical assistance and guidance to others to assure compliance related to specific federal, state and program requirements, rules, laws, policies and procedures.

To succeed in this position , you should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively to complete work assignments accurately and timely and have the ability to develop, interpret, and evaluate policies and procedures, and skilled in evaluating alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems. You will be required to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely in conversation and through written correspondence. You should have great attention to detail and be able to work with spreadsheets.

To be considered for this position , you must have a bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting or business or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
