Role Summary

OneTeam is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant who wants to make their mark on a rapidly growing organization at the heart of sports and business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, enjoys collaborating with people across the organization, and embraces a dynamic environment. The Staff Accountant will support the team with the month end close, accounts payable and accounts receivable treasury functions, reconciliations, and preparation and review of the financial packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active involvement in the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, review of revenue recognition, royalties, costs of sales and operating expenses.
  • Prepare, examine, analyze accounting records, assist with financial statement preparation, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Assist in ensuring a timely and accurate month end close, including the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist Accounting Manager and Controller in preparing cash reporting and forecasting.
  • Assist Accounting & Finance team with treasury operations:
    • Executing vendor payment run preparation including initial data entry, payment preparation, and drafting of approval requests.
    • Assisting in invoice preparation, email correspondence, and tracking in both QuickBooks and other financial reporting systems.
  • Provide support during the annual financial statement audit and tax returns including preparation of schedules, provisioning of audit selections, and assisting with walkthroughs.


Basic Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
  • 2 years of accounting related experience with a public accounting firm or as part of a corporate accounting team.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, in-depth general ledger, and balance sheet account reconciliation experience.
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written format.
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize a diverse workload.
  • Intellectually curious, independent, and driven to improve self and processes.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Workday and other accounting systems.
