GENERAL ACCOUNTING
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks Staff Accountant for immediate full-time opportunity in our General Accounting Department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assigned accounting functions, complete assigned reports and analysis and provide accurate and timely information for review.
- Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Responsible for tracking of fixed assets, construction in progress and capital leases.
- Responsible for tracking prepaid assets.
- Create and analyze supporting schedules and general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closing.
- Perform varying account analysis and work papers.
- Completes special projects as necessary.
- Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in accounting required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Microsoft Office with heavy concentration in Excel mandatory.
- Knowledge of Infor software a plus.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
SALARY
$55k - $65k DOE
