System One has partnered with a growing Tulsa organization to help them in their search for a Staff Accountant. As the Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations while providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, reconciling payments, and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and generating financial reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and analyzing financial information and preparing variance analysis reports.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • CPA or CPA candidate (preferred but not required).
