As a devops engineer lead on our Strategic Planning and Architecture (SPA) team, you will partner, mentor, and collaborate with our business partners, developers, architects, and enterprise teams to innovate, advance, and promote our IT Commercial Lines (ITCL) technologies and architecture. In this role, you’ll help lead, influence, and train others to adopt our ITCL organization in advancing our cloud data and event driven architecture. As a part of the role, you’ll provide exceptional technical design, thought leadership, and will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within our ITCL community. In addition, you will partner with our business to plan and develop technical solutions to meet their business needs.

This is a remote position for US based work only.

Must-have qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

Preferred skills
  • Experience in building and leading strategic planning, road mapping, and architecture for a large organization
  • Experience in influencing, developing, and growing the skills for multiple roles; s trong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with business and IT teams
  • Lead level experience with building and architecting CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and streaming capabilities utilizing Kafka
  • Proficient working in public and private cloud-based environment including AWS, OpenStack, leveraging Terraform, and software engineering languages, such as Python
  • Experienced with monitoring, testing, and security best practices; d emonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and find clarity in ambiguity

Compensation
  • $118,000-$139,200/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
