Job Summary:

Lockton is currently seeking a seasoned Learning and Development professional to join our Texas Team! As a key member of our People and Culture Team, you will be responsible for leading the learning experience and supporting Associate development. This is a critical role to the business; as the success of our Associates significantly impact the company’s future business growth, knowledge capital, and builds successful leadership. The Talent Development Consultant will develop and deliver curated learning at all levels across the Texas Series and contribute to the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources team.



ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT:

• Assess developmental needs for internal teams and Associates

• Establish job competencies and provide guidance to develop and grow Associate's career pathing (educational, emotional, and professional).

• Lead appropriate goal setting for Associates that align with their career aspirations and Series’ expectations

• Assist Associates with pursuit of various Certification and Professional Designation Programs

• Serve as a Clifton Strengths Champion for the Texas Series



ASSOCIATE LEARNING:

• Responsible for a variety of training programs (including oversight and delegation of activities) and ensuring alignment with Associate development plans including; Resourcing of presentation materials, Brainstorm subject matter for presentations, Logistical scheduling, Maintenance of Associate training records.

• Assess the effectiveness of training relating to associate accomplishment and performance

• Develop, monitor, and actively engage in Leadership Development programming

• Partner closely with the Texas Trainer and provide technical and administrative support to ensure successful execution of learning strategies, projects and events

• Introduce new resources, tools, and technology that support and lift our internal learning and development experience

• Research external resources for up-to-date materials for current curriculum, presentations and potential for new classes

• Manage and oversee Lockton’s Summer Internship Program in collaboration with internal SME’s and Talent Acquisition Team



STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS:

• Utilize the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Approach to find the best, curated solutions for our teams and leaders.

• Support a dynamic on-boarding experience and continuity planning of Associates to support future growth

• Develop and nurture relationships with Lockton Global Learning and Development leads

• Build a vibrant social media presence within our internal social media platform

• Lead as a Lockton Brand Ambassador internally and externally, including representation at industry functions

• Support the HR leader with strategy updates, communication, and marketing

• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team regarding workforce planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree relating to Training and Development and/or Organizational Development

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Learning and/or Organizational Development role (Corporate training, facilitation and/or advisory experience required)

• PHR/SPHR certification (preferred)

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)

• Prior work experience in the insurance and/or financial sector (required)

• Technical experience in the commercial insurance field (strongly preferred)

• Ability to identify, assess, coach, and mentor Associates in their developmental growth

• Extensive experience analyzing individual development needs related to both technical and soft skills and determining most effective training methods and processes

• Experience in curriculum design and facilitating training and coaching sessions across a variety of platforms (virtual and in-person)

• Fundamental understanding of adult learning principles

• Working knowledge of the Clifton Strengths platform and program (preferred)

• Leadership and problem-solving skills, including resolving complex issues

• Consistently demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility

• Strong team player with the ability to share responsibilities and promote a team environment amongst departments and locations

• Ability to be flexible in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Exemplary presentation skills (preparation and execution), including professional written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable speaking to audiences of all sizes and personalities

• Must be able to prioritize a heavy workload with effective organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in office) and travel (50%) to supported offices
