Our client is looking for an outstanding technical writer for their team. As a technical writer, you will create and publish technical documentation for their technology platform, including developer's guides and detailed API documentation. Successful past delivery of developer-oriented technical documentation for a programming platform is required. Must have experience writing documentation for APIs, SDKs, components, and tools. Your documentation will be used by internal software developers and external 3rd parties building applications on the platform. This position requires precise documentation and clear communication and presentation skills, along with a solid understanding of software engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop & deliver high quality documentation while always keeping the customer top of mind
• Develop content, re-use, and single-sourcing strategies

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in a writing or lead writing role
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and able to manage multiple competing priorities
• Proven ability to work with directly with teams of software engineers and write for a developer audience
• Past success designing documentation for software APIs
• Intermediate knowledge of XML, markdown, or HTML
• Intermediate experience with Git
• Experience designing, planning, and delivering content that meets the needs of a technical audience
• Proven ability to use and follow a style guide
• Some experience with web services and related technologies a plus

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42 to $44.50/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
