Duties:
Under direction of the Technical Documentation Section Manager, the incumbent performs complex analytical work in support of operations and maintenance manuals. The incumbent is expected to exercise considerable independent judgment in making decisions and take action in accordance with Government Code, State laws, and Departmental policies and procedures.
Assist in the development of technical manuals used in the operations and maintenance of State Water Project (SWP) facilities; Analyze existing and potential content. Maintain and improve formatting and layout to make manuals easier to use; Manage proper naming conventions, revision control, and file storing procedures; Complete special projects and assignments which involve review of existing processes, identifying issues, developing alternative solutions, and recommending improvements.
