Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Technician/ Technical Writer (TTW) to join our team located in Burr Ridge IL (remote locations will be considered). The TTW is positioned within the Clinical Team focused on driving commercialization of our NOxBOXi/Noxivent product portfolio as well as new products and services. The TTW will be responsible for a full range of support services including the below.

The TTW will work closely with R&D, Legal/Regulatory, Quality, IT, Operations, and Marketing to document/test ideas for new products, offerings and services for the Clinical Team. The position requires consistent alignment with other departments (R&D, Quality & Regulatory), and other business units within Linde including Institutional Healthcare. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to act with a strong sense of urgency.

The ideal candidate should understand medical device testing/development process and have experience testing devices, creating technical guides and other documentation.

Responsibilities

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills - has a strong sense of "teamwork" and thrives in that environment.

• Able to independently write clear and concise technical reports and analyses, protocols, work instructions, manuals, etc. under minimal supervision. Attention to detail is required.

• Familiar with and able to interpret medical device regulations and willing to work under a formal Quality Management System.

• Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers, customers, and others.

• Able to develop and assemble test systems for verification and validation testing based on medical device product requirements and specifications.

• Able to conduct experiments and support data collection and analysis.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex theoretical and practical problems.

• Willing to take ownership of assignments and push them through to completion.

• Willing to proactively consult other functional representatives for information and guidance as needed.

• Able to track tasks and information in an organized manner to maintain timelines and meet aggressive deadlines.

• Able to identify continuous improvement opportunities for the medical device product line and assist with implementation.

• Willing to provide support when needed to the clinical team, R&D, quality, regulatory, marketing, legal, and management to maintain and grow the medical device product line.

• Experience with medical device development programs and the regulatory submission process a plus.

• Experience with medical device electromechanical design and software development a plus.
  • Understands that much of the activity of this position is confidential and must maintain that confidentiality.
• Employees may be required to perform additional job tasks required by the manager.

Qualifications:
Requirements

• Four-year degree. Considerable professional experience and demonstrated proficiency may be substituted for four-year degree.

• Expert in Office 365 tools for data handling and document preparation.

• Demonstrated experience working with large, cross-functional teams.

• Experience working with medical/respiratory devices preferred.

• Copywriting experience preferred.

• Ability to travel required
