Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) are responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Business.

Project Description

This position is for a Test Automation Engineer with the STO SQEacross multiple new applications such as Salesforce, NBA (Next Best Action), Lead IQ and marketing tools. The candidate will be interfacing with other platform teams, reviewing and conducting gap analysis of functional requirements, create the required testing artifacts, test execution, test data setup, test execution results archiving, defect tracking & test status reporting to ensure overall quality of the applications being tested.

The Candidate would play a squad supporting role in the test execution of the program with the following responsibilities:

• Review business cases, requirements gap analysis and preparation of all the required functional testing documents/ artifact

• Writing test cases, test plan leveraging Jira and SDA.

• Timely test execution, test results and daily status reporting

• Uncovering defects, logging defects in Jira , triage defects with Business, Operations, AppDev and testing teams, track defect statuses to ensure timely delivery and closure.

• Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with end-user business processes ensuring financial applications and electronic trading systems meet end user requirements.

• Assisting in training and communication of the Testing standards and action

• Collaborate with the team to write, publish and execute expanded test plans, standards and procedures to improve overall scope and quality of software testing done that supports the development effort.

• Maintaining a governance and quality scorecard to monitor ongoing program activitie

• Investigating issues by executing queries, synthesizing analysis and translating the details for presentation to business partner

• Helping to coordinate the completion of testing actions to resolve issue

• Coordinating the tracking defects and test execution to meet release deadlines.

The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable and an excellent team player. The role requires credibility and confidence interacting with senior management, business unit personnel, branch offices and the technology team across the full lifecycle of a project. The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team along with NY and India team members, sometimes across multiple time zones.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work under minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Primary Skills / Must haves:

• Minimum of 5+ years of testing/automation experience

• Experience integration, functional, regression testing and production support

• Wealth Management domain knowledge

• Proficient experience with Selenium / Java

• Prior experience in Requirements Analysis and Traceability

• Knowledge of technology system interfaces and data integration

• Strong Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), technology concepts and best practice

• Excellent defect root cause analysis skills and problem-solving

• Experience with metrics gathering, tracking, and reporting

• Experience with Parallel processing, Tasks, Stages.

• Testing experience in data lake store strategy, while ensuring rapid delivery while taking responsibility for applying standards, principles, theories, and concepts.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

• Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy

• An innovative frame of mind - open to learning new technologies and technique

• Good interpersonal and consultative skill

• Verbal and Written communication skills - primarily the ability to communicate ideas, standards and technical details to the development partner

Desired Skills:

• Prior testing Experience in Salesforce customization

• Designing and developing ETL and master data management processes.

• Scripting and automation to support development, QA and production database environments and ability to support production.

• Maturing the continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologie

• Proficient programming skills in Python

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
