Overview Trailer Mechanic Keen Transport is seeking a 2nd shift Trailer Mechanic at our Carlisle shop. Experienced trailer mechanic looking to join a great team? Look no further! Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL DO: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lowboy trailers Service, repair and diagnose brakes, suspension, axles and electrical systems Move trailers throughout the property Operate specialized tooling and vehicles Maintain proficiency on equipment and technologies that enhance our productivity Properly document all equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations into electronic maintenance program/completion of paperwork. Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy. Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized Interact in a respectful and professional manner with drivers and shop management COMPETITIVE PAY AND BENEFITS! Paid Time Off 401k - 100% match up to 6% - Fully Vested on day of eligibility Company Paid Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Employee Discount within our Network; Hotels, Airlines, and Automotive Qualifications WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Availability to work dayshift or second shift 3 years of verifiable experience in trailer repair and maintenance A valid driver's license Air Brakes certification Basic hand tools required for heavy duty trailer maintenance Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC) Basic computer skills Strong work ethic, teamwork Mindset and great character It'd be great if you also have: High school diploma or equivalent Diesel tech school diploma Previous or current ASE certifications Class A CDL ABOUT US: Keen Transport We are committed to our employees who are at the heart of our operations, as well as the supporting operational and administrative staff who keep our fleet on the road and on-time.
