Job Summary:
As a VP, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in extracting actionable insights from data to drive informed business decisions. Your responsibilities will include data collection, analysis, and translating complex findings into meaningful recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of business processes.

Job Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis:
• Gathering Data: Collect data from diverse sources, including company databases, APIs, spreadsheets, web analytics, industry and field reports, public information, and/or purchased sources.
• Data Cleansing: Ensure data quality by identifying and correcting errors, missing values, and inconsistencies.
• Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations.

Business Insights and Decision Support:
• Translating Data: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, compiling business intelligence or trends to present complex data findings and actionable recommendations in a clear manner.
• Actionable Insights: Provide recommendations to help teams make informed decisions based on empirical evidence.
• Market Surveys: Conduct market surveys to compare internal findings against competitors and industry trends.

Visualization and Reporting:
• Creating Visualizations: Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively.
• Business Reports: Summarize key findings and recommendations for various levels within the organization.

Strategic Initiatives:
• Providing Due Diligence Support: Analyze and evaluate target businesses' information systems and data prior to acquisition.
• Post-Acquisition Integration: Develop plans to assimilate new businesses into the existing reporting ecosystem.
• Special Projects: Assist the CFO in ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements/Skills/Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, math, computer science, or related field.
• Master of Science or Statistics or Ph.D. in Data Science or Statistics.
• 10-15 years of experience in computer science or data science-related roles.
• Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and industry trends.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying improvement areas and proposing solutions based on data-driven insights.
• Ability to Work Effectively: In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create, manage, and understand databases as well as technology-driven business intelligence tools.
• Experience with Financial ERPs and/or Systems: (NetSuite or Oracle Planning Budgeting Cloud Service, Tableau a plus).
