About the role
The purpose of this position is to procure, track and move materials, PPE and tools in support of the different facilities or engineering teams. Responsible for loading/unloading larger items and as when needed, delivering to different locations within a 15-mile radius.
What you'll do
- Receives, logs and promptly distributes all supplies within the facility/campus.
- Daily updating of inventory database including cycle counts.
- Reporting on open and received purchase orders and verifies status with the appropriate supplier. Maintains files on work orders, purchase orders, proposals, and department files.
- Provides recommendations to management and works with planner/schedulers to reschedule orders in case of specification changes and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
What you'll need
- High school diploma/GED required. Minimum of two years of experience in storeroom operations directly related to building maintenance.
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred. Forklift license required. Ability to drive 24ft box truck.
- Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient Excel and Access skills required. Familiarity with work order systems such as Maximo and Service Insight 7 preferred. Familiarity with purchase order systems, JDE preferred.
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders and ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Medical exam (DOT) required.
