1st Shift Welder Durant, OK

Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled Welders and/or Fitters (knowledge of both is a plus) to cut and join metals and other materials at our Durant, OK facility.

Essential Job Functions

This position operates appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure. A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

• • Proven experience as welder and/or fitter.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures. (Flux core)
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools. (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing. (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail.
  • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs over shoulder height occasionally.
  • Be able to speak and understand enough English to accurately follow basic instructions.
  • Work required hours to help meet production schedule and satisfy the needs of internal customers.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required: Potential new employees must pass a background check and drug screen. Due to the nature of our business, we are deemed a "Safety Sensitive" work environment. Under Oklahoma law, this means our Drug & Alcohol Policy includes the prohibition of medical marijuana. You must also have two forms of identification: picture ID, SSN, or birth certificate

Fabrication Schedule

1 st Shift:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am-5:00pm

Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Saturday 6:00am-12:00pm.

2 nd Shift:

Monday-Thursday 6:00pm-6:00am

Friday 5:00pm-1:30am
