We are proud of our growth and achievement, but we have our sights set even higher for the 2024-25 school year, and we need your help to reach our goals. We are seeking a high-capacity, hungry, and growth-oriented Special Education Case Manager to join our team .
Job Overview Reporting directly to the Dean of Specialized Services, our Case Manager will serve in a leadership position for our Student Support Team, taking ownership over IEP and 504 management for a caseload of scholars. This includes overseeing the pre-referral and referral processes and overseeing the creation of, and execution of, Individual Educational Program (IEP) plans for the special education students on their caseload. The Case Manager will also take on some instructional responsibilities for our diverse learners .
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate evaluations for students, both new and annual.
  • Collaborate with RSPs, special education teachers and Lead classroom teachers in coordinating support schedules for all special needs students and evaluation needs.
  • Maintain compliance with all IEP and 504 plans. Ensure compliance for caseload in general education settings.
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Leadership Team to ensure strong co-teaching instruction is implemented for students with IEPs.
  • Coordinate with teachers and Special Education team in monitoring student progress, coordinating the MTSS process, and completing any testing necessary for evaluations.
  • Meet all compliance requirements and reporting deadlines for case management of 504s and IEPs.
  • Lead a safe, structured, supportive classroom culture by building relationships with students, leveraging systems & routines, and consistently implementing GLA's code of conduct
  • Use academic data to inform whole-group, small-group, and individual instruction and to drive student growth and achievement
  • Establish relationships with students' families, communicating frequently and partnering in student success
  • Consistently model the Great Lakes Academy BE GREAT virtues: Gratitude, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, and Truthfulness
  • Collaborate with all staff members across team, grade level and subject area
  • Actively participate in weekly 1:1 coaching and regular professional development (PD), including our three-week summer PD in August

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement is required
  • Minimum of two years special education teaching experience
  • Case management experience strongly preferred
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis
