Internship Program Overview

Raymond James is the place where good people grow and nowhere is that better demonstrated than in our internship program. During the 10-week immersive experience, you will engage with and implement the firm's core values through our five guiding behaviors. Featuring a comprehensive orientation, onsite and remote training sessions in professional development, networking events, a speaker series, and volunteer opportunities, you will be equipped with knowledge of the business and culture to help you build relationships and develop skillsets for the internship and your future.

To be eligible for the summer 2024 internship program, you must be a junior or senior standing candidate pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a business or finance field with a graduate date of May 2025. Most positions are based in St. Petersburg with other available locations depending on company need.

Candidates who successfully complete the internship program have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at Raymond James after graduation.

Job Summary

Equity Capital Markets ("ECM") Interns at Raymond James play an integral role supporting the ECM Origination and Syndicate teams in executing IPOs, follow-on equity offerings, preferred offerings, and equity linked offerings. Interns are given a high level of responsibility as members of the product-focused team. Interns gain exposure to documents preparation related to the public and private issuance of stock, the targeting of investors for each offering using publicly available and proprietary data and will conduct competitive benchmarking analysis. Interns are expected to work on multiple aspects of the transaction process, with a focus on new business proposals and offering execution. Interns work independently on difficult assignments and are required to re-prioritize tasks on an ongoing basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop client presentations.

• Support the execution of equity, preferred, and equity liked offerings.

• Follow Raymond James equity research and provide updates to ECM and Investment Banking.

• Follow equity and equity linked new issues and keep ECM and Investment Banking informed about timing, pricing, and performance of offerings.

• Maintain files and group databases related to active and prospective deals.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
