24-25 America SCORES Partnerships and Development VISTA

America SCORES empowers young people to realize their full potential, both on and off the field. America SCORES is North America's largest soccer, literacy and youth development nonprofit, serving over 13,000 high-need students in Title I public schools across 13 cities through our free program. As an organization we are committed to inspiring underserved youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We achieve this mission by offering innovative after-school programs that integrates soccer, poetry, and service-learning. As part of America SCORES' 30th anniversary celebrations, the organization will be expanding its marquee corporate event, the SCORES Corporate Cup, the US' largest annual corporate-charity soccer tournament, as well as exploring the expansion potential of new chapters in Houston, Kansas City and Philadelphia. America SCORES is seeking a VISTA to support with capacity building activities around these two major activities, including but not limited to, marketing and communications, volunteer and sponsor recruitment, supporting revenue generating activities, grant writing for program support in new markets, and the creation of new corporate and program partnerships in such markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a VISTA to be a part of the launch of something very special, helping to grow a beloved event in new cities that supports a great program. This role will be especially someone who loves soccer, poetry and/or community service and is excited about the opportunity to learn and see first-hand what goes into launching and running events. If you are someone that is passionate about changing the lives of youth through soccer, creative expression and/or poetry and are a self-starter that enjoys working with a team passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth, this role is for you.

Member Duties : The VISTA placed at America SCORES National will be part of the 24-25 Up2US Sports National Cohort of 41 members. Our VISTA will support the development of strong internal systems related to database and donor management, volunteer recruitment, and event management Nationally. Support the creation of strong internal systems related to technology in support of program development. Create key communications materials related to the expansion of America SCORES into new regions. Support the development of identifying new program and community partners to expand the reach of our services. Support all corporate outreach Nationally around the America SCORES Cup, which is a charity corporate soccer tournament we hold in cities across the USA.
