Principle Responsibilities:

•Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant

•Count and sort off-quality hogs

•Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties

•Complete necessary paperwork

•Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards Act and Humane Handling

Working Conditions:

•Production and maintenance settings

•Exposure to various chemicals, machinery and knives likely

•Slippery floors, extreme temperature and loud noises

Requirements:

Education:High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:Experience in swine production

Special Skills:

•Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal

•Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

•Excellent computer skills required

Relationships

Internal: Supervise hourly union workers

External: Laws, regulations in Humane Handling
