Volt is immediately hiring 2nd Shift - Industrial Painters in Portland, Oregon.

Position: Industrial Painter
Location: Portland, Oregon
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (Training on 1st shift)
Pay: $26 - $36 per hour + $1.14 per hour shift differential
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on factors, including candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in the setup, operation, and maintenance of various paint systems.
• Safety Conscious: In-depth understanding of safety requirements for industrial painting, including paint mixing and respirator use.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and maintain good range of motion in elbows and shoulders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure finished products meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation & Painting: Perform shot blasting, surface prep, and apply paint using air-assisted airless, HVLP, and conventional systems.
• Precision Work: Mask and plug parts with care, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet product standards.
• Safety First: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respirators.
• Versatility: Assist with assembly processes to maintain efficient workflow within the department.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices to handle parts and materials.
