BASIC OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control QA Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts through the warehouse and responding to related inquiries from internal and external customers. This role maintains in-depth knowledge of our products and operating procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers to meet daily goals. This position collaborates with various departments on day-to-day issues to ensure that accurate cycle counts are completed at an exceptional pace.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • • Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure that inventory counts and system data points are correct

  • • Manage items in overstock bin locations to ensure that overstock items are accurately accounted for

  • • Investigate discrepancies found during cycle counts and adjust inventory in Company systems when issues are resolved

  • • Complete periodic tasks including internal transfers, coordinate serial numbers, and generate various reports

  • • Maintain a high level of system accuracy and identify areas for improvement related to department processes and procedures

  • • Logs, disposes of, and adjusts damaged items

  • • Returns stock to bins from returns/wrap and inventory

  • • Checks bins for lost items based on inventory control action queue and posts initial resolutions

  • • Resolves emails and updates IDS stock based on resolutions

  • • Adhere to attendance policy by maintaining regular, predictable on-site attendance

  • • Meet or exceed the department standards for productivity and accuracy

  • • Maintain a clean work area that is safe and organized, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed

  • • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • • Must be 18 or older

  • • 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred

  • • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
  • Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy.
  • Complete and pass all equipment training
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day

  • • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing

  • • Requires the regular use of hands and wrists for simple grasping and fine manipulations

  • • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching

  • • Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Night Shift

Monday- Friday

5:30 pm - 2:00 am

WAGE

Starting Wage is $21.50/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.
