3rd Shift Computer Operator II

Our data center operations team has an opportunity for a Weekend/Overnight Computer Operator. This position is an excellent gateway opportunity into Jack Henry. Our computer operators are responsible for system monitoring, and making sure assigned tasks such as nightly processing, end of day, and POD responsibilities are completed. This position will work a third shift schedule.

This position can be worked remotely in the Dallas metroplex area however training will be in person at our Allen, TX office location.

The salary range for this position is $40-44k based on experience and geographical location. Salary will ultimately be set by the hiring manager.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Maintains necessary operating records, check lists, and procedures to ensure accuracy and completion of functions.
• Utilizes scripted instructions to perform routine processing functions to meet deadlines or standards.
• Provides support to customers and internal users in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitors the console and other online systems. Responds with appropriate actions and escalation.
• Follows established guidelines to ensure security of data and computer systems.
• Completes the shift turnover log for the next shift; and reviews the shift turnover log from the precious shift.
• Contacts the Operations Unit Manager for assistance as needed.
• May Manage a Windows Server environment.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in monitoring computer systems and queues, technical support, or as a computer operator.
• Must be attentive to details and follow procedures precisely.
• Must have the ability to work the assigned schedule: Monday - Friday 8 pm -5 am Central.

What would be nice for you to have:

• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Works on generally routine assignments, occasionally deviating from defined procedures.
• Able to type accurately and efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
