AARP Fdn Exp Corps 24-25 VISTA Team Leader

The AARP Foundation Experience Corps Team Leader VISTA will serve alongside the AARP Foundation Experience Corps VISTA Project Director to engage VISTAs at each site through regular monitoring, creation of quarterly meetings, survey of challenges and success and presentation of findings to AARP Foundation Experience Corps leadership. The AARP Foundation Experience Corps VISTA Team Leader will play a critical role in expanding public awareness of the program in the nation and on the community level through engaged VISTAs. The Team Leader must reside or be willing to relocate to the DMV area (DC, MD or VA) as position is based primarily at AARPF EC HQ in DC.

Member Duties : Communicate with current and previous AARP Foundation Experience Corps VISTAs to learn challenges and successes with first year of program through bimonthly meetings with all VISTAs. Summarize findings and create and manage the Recruitment Action Plan for VISTAs and mentors for staff. Develop a calendar of periodic virtual gatherings among cohort of VISTAs. Collaborate with Experience Corps leadership including Field Services and Research and Evaluation on timetable and activities for 24-25 VISTA monitoring in the spring. Schedule bimonthly calls with each VISTA to check in activities. Source material and publish content for the Experience Corps program's social media platforms to highlight volunteer and program accomplishments using platforms such as its eKit VISTA Central.
