AC Hotel Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE: Keep the building and equipment in good repair with a minimum of down time by providing day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Chief Engineer. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering services to both guests and associates while sharing day to day knowledge and skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



1. Document all calls in the Engineer's log.

2. Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently and courteously to all guests and associate requests.

3. Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following: all building and FF/E, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, IE motors, starters, pumps, fans, generators and chillers

4. Follow all OSHA standards and procedures.

5. Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



1. Previous engineering experience preferred.

2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

3. Candidates should possess a good working knowledge of framing, finish work, general construction, and basic mechanics skills.

4. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

5. Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action and implement solutions.
