Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will be responsible for outpatient clinical care at our Crown Point, Indiana location and inpatient clinical care at our main campus in Hyde Park. The majority of appointees’ clinical time will be spent in Crown Point and Northwest Indiana. We especially welcome applicants with training and experience in gynecology (office gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, or family planning/complex contraception), obstetrics (vaginal delivery of twins, higher order cesarean sections, and operative vaginal deliveries), and resident or medical student teaching.

Appointees will be members of the obstetrics call group and may also participate in gynecology service, if desired. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
