General Statement of Duties
This position is a 260-days (12 months), 8 hours/day position at Highland High School. The starting salary is $45,599.38 or based on promotion policy for internal candidates. (Note: Salary may be prorated dependent upon employment start date.).
Essential Duties
Minimum Qualifications
A high school graduate or equivalent (business school or some college preferred). Leadership qualities and communication skills are necessary. Ability to use computers in a broad range of applications such as but not limited to the following: Word Processing; Spreadsheet Data Entry and Spreadsheet Design; Database Maintenance; and Internet Search Engines. Should be able to deal effectively with the public.

- Serves as the financial secretary for the school
- Performs a wide variety of clerical or account keeping tasks
- Receives forms and documents from vendors, verifies and processes for payment
- Uses computer terminal to enter, retrieve, verify and research information relative to departmental expenditures
- Checks, verifies, and analyzes a variety of data to locate errors and solve problems
- Attends work daily and is engaged and on task
- Strong member of the front office while assisting with customer service responsibilities
Essential Duties
- Receives letters and phone calls concerning complaints or problems; researches problems and communicates by phone or letter
- Prepares payroll information related to automated personnel, payroll and leave system
- Performs a wide variety of clerical or account keeping tasks
- Calculates amount of checks and writes checks to cover payroll, federal and state withholding tax, credit union, etc.
- Receives information and processes employment forms
- Receives forms and documents which affect payroll and makes required changes
- Uses computer terminal to enter, retrieve, verify and research information
- Checks, verifies, and analyzes a variety of data to locate errors and solve problems
- Attends work daily and is engaged and on task
- Performs other duties as assigned
