Piper Health and Sciences is actively seeking a Account Executive - Rare Disease for a global pharmaceutical organization that creates therapeutics for challenging neurological and immunological disorders. The Account Executive will play an integral role in identifying and executing marketing and sales strategies within the rare disease space. This person should be located in the Atlanta-Macon GA area being able to go on the road, but otherwise, the position is primarily hybrid.

Responsibilities of the Account Executive:
- Create and execute business reflecting a thorough understanding of patients journeys, standards of care and treatment drivers.
- Serve as an advocate for rare disease patients and serve as the authority on the various tools and resources.
- Expand the expertise of treating and referring physicians
- Create and maintain strong relationships with the payer landscape to ensure providers are informed on coverage and reimbursement status, collaborate with the payer access team.
- Ensure greater access for patients and help with identifying those who need treatment
- Liaison between academic centers, community-based care, hospitals, and private office practices
- Deliver continious improvement as enhanced by insights gained about the territories covered
Qualifications of the Account Executive:
- 8+ years of field-based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals or healthcare, inclusive of 5+ years in completive specialty market segment.
- 2+ years in rare/orphans drug experience in a competitive market
- Bachelor's Degree
Compensation of the Account Executive:
- $143,000-$190,000, uncapped bonus potential up to $60,000
