Key job responsibilities
• \tDevelop a customer acquisition and account management plan within assigned territory.
• \tDevelop and nurture prospect pipeline, utilizing high level of lead generation activities.
• \tEngage in discovery with customers to advise an ideal solution, utilizing a diverse suite of product features. You will assess account needs and identify gaps and advise solutions.
• \tGrow customer relationships within an account while expanding your understanding of the customer's business.
• \tOwn and manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders within prospect and customer accounts.
About the team
The Amazon Business for Education team is dedicated to developing solutions inclusive of an expanded online store that combines the selection, convenience, and value customers have come to know and love from Amazon, with new features and unique benefits tailored to customers in the K-12 Education sector. The ideal candidate will have relevant K-12 Education consultative sales experience and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of B2B sales experience
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels
- Demonstrated experience in positioning and selling solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years preferred sales experience
- Experience selling to procurement and/or supply chain roles
- Experience with customer facing communication including participating in-person or virtual customer meetings, product demonstrations, or trainings.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, CRMs (e.g. Salesforce.com), and other systems
- Demonstrated success identifying, prioritizing, developing, and growing a book of Education customer accounts
