Amazon/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. "MGM" is seeking a Financial Analyst in the Business Controllership group managing the revenue operations, accounts receivable and various accounting functions in a timely manner. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional stakeholders and members of the team to interpret legal agreements, prepare accurate accounting entries, and perform analysis to routinely deliver error-free results.

Key job responsibilities

• \tCash collections: billing, cash collections, cash application, filing and reconciliations.

• \tMonitor contract status and follow up on outstanding statements/ payments

• \tProvide projected revenue and cash forecasting updates

• \tReview and approval of amendment/ deal memo terms

• \tEnter executed agreements into financial systems

• \tLiaise with internal sales departments, legal and business affairs, accounting, finance department, and P&R to assist with audits/ provide confirms and backup as needed.

• \tAccount reconciliations

• \tCreate and submit statements of account and perform reconciliations as needed

• \tEvaluate client statements against agreement terms to ensure accuracy of reporting

• \tProcess client statements in general ledger to record revenue and AR

• \tCreate various monthly reports for sales teams across all divisions

• \tAssist Sales departments on an at-need basis

• \tAnalysis and updates of Revenue Recognition, Projected Revenue and Cash basis customers

• \tReconcile cash vs revenue monthly and provide reporting for Financial Planning team

• \tLiaise with Servicing team to trigger delivery of material

• \tNew business partner research

• \tAd hoc efforts as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of finance experience

- 1+ years of Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

- Experience using data to influence business decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with customer service

- Experience in handling internal & external audits

- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
