Our fast-paced environment and dynamic global Finance & Accounting department is eager for a mover and shaker to step into this role and become an integral part of our team.

About the role

The Revenue Accountant will be part of the Finance & Accounting Team and will report directly into the Team Lead, Revenue Accounting. The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that revenue is properly recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This position will be responsible for developing and performing analyses to report on key performance metrics of the business including annual recurring revenue, deferred revenue trends, and cost of goods sold.

You will also:
  • Ensure all required monthly and quarterly revenue operations for the Americas are completed and revenues are reported timely and accurately.
  • Assess new contracts and validate that the revenue recognition is appropriate under US GAAP.
  • Develop and perform trend analyses over KPIs including annual recurring revenues, deferred revenues, and cost of goods sold.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure any reconciling items are addressed timely.
  • Assist with assessment of existing revenue recognition policies, implementation of Aptean revenue recognition policies, and post go live review for newly acquired businesses in the Americas.
  • Identify and address process improvements in the general accounting, billing, and revenue areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Support the annual audit for revenue related matters and requests.
  • Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.


About you

Minimum of 0-3 years of related experience in public accounting or with progressive industry experience. Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition within a software company preferred.

To be successful here, you'll need ambition, initiative and tenacity. You must also have:
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
  • Previous experience working with software/technology companies preferred
  • US GAAP knowledge in ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build relations
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Attention to detail is highly important and a structured methodical approach is necessary
  • Strong initiative and work ethic
  • Successful candidates must have the maturity and ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work and effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
