IBM Accounting is responsible to accurately prepare and report the company's financial performance using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP). As an IBM Accounting Analyst, you will be expected to operate as a trusted business advisor and as such you will provide meaningful analysis of financial data, evaluate and advise on complex technical accounting issues, and ensure high standards of control over financial reporting. You will have vast opportunities to develop accounting expertise, financial acumen and leadership skills.

This is an office based position located at our Armonk, NY location.

Introduction
As an accounting analyst at IBM you'll be a key player in all aspects of strategic payments planning. You will make significant contributions to high-profile operational initiatives as the business continues to grow globally.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Proficient computer skills, such as spreadsheet data management (Microsoft excel), document preparation and powerpoint presentations, and database management
  • Effective written and oral communication skills


Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • BS/BA in Accounting (major concentration of study)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data management (e.g. Access, SQL, QMF, etc.)

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
