Accounting Clerk

We are seeking someone like you to fill an Accounting Clerk position in New Iberia, LA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our premier clients. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks or similar systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

1st Shift | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM | $15 - $16 per hour (depending on experience)

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and update accounting records by processing business transactions.
• Prepare and submit customer invoices, manage billing, track payments, and financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and accounts.
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping duties, including data entry into accounting systems, processing payments, managing petty cash, and issuing checks.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal staff.
• Provide administrative support to ensure financial procedures run smoothly.
